To get right to the point, I’m asking you to make a donation to Ogdensburg Command Performances. Without your generosity and support, our work would be impossible. Please help us find the resources to continue our 58 year legacy.

Our mission is to “present the finest professional touring productions that enhance and enrich the lives of the residents, adult & youth, of northern NY…” Since 1963 we have presented more than 900 performances and reached more than 972,295 theatre goers; 352,545 were children who reaped the many benefits of having professional theater as part of their curriculum.

I've been involved with presenting for almost thirty years and I've never seen anything like the atmosphere that exists in today. Finding touring productions that are technically compatible with the George Hall Auditorium and are also financially willing to come to this rural part of the country is more difficult than ever. It has forced me to work harder and to think more creatively, always looking for new possibilities.

I am proud of the OCP team we have built with the Ogdensburg City School District, Massena, Gouverneur, and Salmon River Central School Districts, 48 volunteers, and those of you who have donated to OCP in the past. Every day we face new challenges and now we’re challenging you to consider your part. Because you’re essential to our team...you can play a leading role.

Perhaps you’re thinking, "Why should I make a donation to OCP? What do they do for me?” People who live and work here benefit directly and indirectly through the cultural enrichment OCP brings to the area that translates into an important economic impact on the community.

Your donation will literally keep the stage lights on…without you professional theater in the North Country cannot remain a reality. Bridging the gap between expenses and income is our biggest challenge as we struggle to keep ticket prices affordable. Our volunteers are indispensable in controlling expenses. To increase income we could simply raise our prices dramatically but that would deprive many of the enrichment that professional theatre brings to their lives.

I hope you realize how much we need your help. With a gift of $35 you will get a 10% discount on any single tickets you purchase this season. If you increase your gift to $75, you will additionally receive 1 complimentary ticket…with a $135 gift 2 free tickets, $250 brings with it 3 tickets, and $500 entitles you to 6 tickets and you can sponsor a Youtheatre production. At all levels you can exchange your tickets for a different show if necessary, your gift is tax-deductible, and you will be recognized in our Playbill. Every amount is appreciated…I’m sure we have a level of giving with benefits that’s just right for you. Please give generously and show your support for OCP and professional theater in the North Country.
